hey, i have a problem.... obviously. I just bought a new alienware not too
long ago and i was running windows for a while. Unfoutionately my HD died on
me and when i went to replace it i tore the ATA Raid cable from the
motherboard. and unfourtionately this cable can only be purchased from
alienware and guess what, theyre out of stock, and have been for a while. so
ive decided to try mandriva one since it was a liveCD boot. that got old and
i need to be able to reboot. I tryed to install it to an external. I ran the
setup and all went well untill the first boot. it began to boot off of the
hardrive fine since i have the option to do so in my bios. but when the
orange mandrake screen showed up, everything froze up. what is the problem?
ive read that in other versions it wont work because the external drive is
not mounted or something like that. what do i do?

please help!
Thanks so much!!
