I found a VMWare player file with Mandriva2006 which runs just fine, so I
have managed to circumvent the problem. :-)

i have tried to read-write on ntfs partition with knoppix 5.1 but could not
write. because though the properties shows that it is in read-write mode,
the document opens only in read-only mode.
if some one has really done it, please write in details about how to do it
with knoppix 5.1
