Hi,
In order to get help you should attach your XF86Config
and your log (do startx 2>logfile to store it) then
one can get an idea about what is happening. upgrading
to 4.x.x would certainly help but might be complicated
for a newbie (I did not try yet to upgrade to 4.1.0
because I got 4.0.3 with RH 7.1)...
