You need either Linux 2.4.9 or the source tree for XFree86 4.1.0. If you have the 4.1.0 source tree, you can find it in xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/kernel/drm. Running make there will tell you what to do. > -----Original Message----- > From: Szomraky Stefan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Sunday, September 02, 2001 10:16 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Newbie]G400, X 4.1.0 and DRM (DRI) > > > Using Matrox G400, X 4.1.0 and Linux 2.4.4 with corresponding > DRM options enabled. > > The full output is included at the end. > DRI is loaded (Load "DRI") > and produces the following lines: > > (II) MGA(0): [drm] bpp: 32 depth: 24 > (II) MGA(0): [drm] Sarea 2200+664: 2864 > (II) MGA(0): [drm] created "mga" driver at busid "PCI:1:0:0" > (II) MGA(0): [drm] added 4096 byte SAREA at 0xc5635000 > (II) MGA(0): [drm] mapped SAREA 0xc5635000 to 0x40018000 > (II) MGA(0): [drm] framebuffer handle = 0xd4000000 > (II) MGA(0): [drm] added 1 reserved context for kernel > (EE) MGA(0): [dri] MGADRIScreenInit failed because of a > version mismatch. > [dri] mga.o kernel module version is 2.0.1 but version 3.0.x > is needed. > [dri] Disabling DRI. > (EE) MGA(0): [drm] failed to remove DRM signal handler > (II) MGA(0): [drm] removed 1 reserved context for kernel > DRIUnlock called when not locked > (II) MGA(0): [drm] unmapping 4096 bytes of SAREA 0xc5635000 > at 0x40018000 > > where do I get a new mga kernel module (3.0.x) ??? > > Full output is attached. > > TIA > _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
