Well, if you're using a system with package management (rpm, dpkg, slp,
slak), use the package manager to re-install the packages. Otherwise,
download the latest ncurses 5.x source code (look on freshmeat... It's been
a while since I had to D/L it) and build this. Make sure to install it in
/lib, not /usr/lib (./configure --prefix=/), unless (and this is a huge
unless) /usr is just a directory, and not a separate partition.
