Hi Guys!
Just installed Redhat 7.1 and having GREAT
Difficulties getting X to run at the 800x480... I have it running at 800x600 or
640x480 but I still only see the top 2/3rds of the screen and its unusable. I
have some configs I got from a Japanese site: http://www.hf.rim.or.jp/~tayamagu/cutting/libretto.html Looks
similar to the configs for the Libretto 110CT
# 800x480
Modeline "800x480" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 +hsync +vsync #... Section "Device" Identifier "My Video Card" VendorName "Unknown" BoardName "Unknown" #VideoRam 2048 # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate Option "override_validate_mode" Clocks 25.2 28.3 40.0 EndSection #... Section "Screen" Driver "svga" # Use Device "Generic VGA" for Standard VGA 320x200x256 #Device "Generic VGA" Device "My Video Card" Monitor "My Monitor" Subsection "Display" Depth 16 Modes "800x480" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubsection EndSection These still don't work... I think its a problem
with the XF86Config-4 File under the default screen options if I set it to
800x600 or 800x480 it brings up the same screen? Does it only take the 800
(800x480) or the 640 (640x480) part of the resolution and attempt to work it out
to fit standard screens?
Looking Forward to any assistance anyone might
Have.
