I have a Sony PCV-RX380DS workstation with a Sony PCVA-15XD2 LCD Digital Display and
Red Hat Linux 7.1 with 4.0.1 Xfree86.. The graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce2 MX. I
have been unable to successfully configure the Xserver
because there is no pick for this display and there is no spec for the horizontal or
vertical sync rates in the Sony manual.
What do you do to configure a DVI (Digital Video Interface?) type display for the
Xfree86 Xserver?
Does the Xserver driver even care whether the display interface is digital or analog?
Can anyone clairify the issues and differences here?
