Check your X version X -version in order to be sure
which XF86Config applies (they have different format)
and post your XF86Config[-4] if you still have
problems (I wonder in view of your error whether you
are not attempting to run 4.x.x with a 3.3.6
XF86Config) see my other post to "fatal error ..."
