do you have the radeon ve (dual-head)? i have this card and have given simple and detailed instructions on how to get it to work (specifically on redhat 7.1) on this list last month (sept 19 and 22). my instructions would probably be good for any radeon card, although i don't know about the extra features of the all-in-wonder. you need the xfree86 cvs version, and at least kernel 2.4.8. install the kernel first. you need to make sure you say yes to the following when compiling the kernel, which i forgot to mention in my previous posts (from andrew in au): Processor type and features -> MTRR support = Y (xfree86 warns if you don't enable this for DRI) Character devices -> /dev/agpgart = Y -> ALI chipset support = Y -> Direct Rendering Manager = Y -> ATI Radeon = Y > JUST CURIOUS . . . why radeon listed as an available video card, but fails > to work??? bugs. if things still don't work, let me know. -dave _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
