You can safely pick any Rage Pro or Mach64 card entry (they use the same server in 3.3.6, same driver in 4.x)

I go through xf86config, and input all of the correct requirements, with the exception of my video card. Under windows 2000 it says my video card is an ATI 3D Rage Pro PCI. The list of possible video cards for X does not include this specific card. What should I do? When I use xf86config, and then type startx >& startx.log, it complains about modules not being found. It also doesn't seem to recognize some of the section headers. Other problems with the XF86Config file are that, all of the resolutions are set to "Yx0", Y being the numbers 1600, 1280, etc... I manually changed all of these, but it is still not working. I noticed that xf86config only copies XF86Config to the etc/X11 directory, not to etc/. What is the difference between the two. I copied the etc/X11 one to etc/. Is this the wrong thing to do? Thanks, Chris. _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
