Can You Please Help

Whenever I am trying startx from
Terminal (Not from Consol) following message
is appearing on screen.
Authentication failed - cannot start
X server.
Perhaps you do not have console
ownership
Xinit: Connection refused ( error
111) unable to connect X server
Xinit: No such process (error 3)
Server error.
Is at the same time somebody is on
the $ prompt of the same user
KDE desktop is appearing on
consol.
Please help
