[Newbie]OSX Problem

Title: OSX Problem

Can someone tell me what has gone wrong.  I downloaded the binaries and ran the installer script as root.  Then when I double clicked on the XDarwin icon, the screen when full back (I assume the full screen mode) for a few seconds and then returned to the OS X Desktop.

I'm running a Powerbook G3 with 384 MB of memory and OS X 10.1.
