Has anyone had any luck in getting X to work on a thinkpad 560 on any release after 3.3.6?
There are XF86Config files and information out there that work with 3.3.6 but I have had no luck and can find no information on getting it to work on 4.X. I'm afraid I don't have a great understanding of the differences between them. Should I be able to simply insert a 3.3.6 modeline + HorizSynch and VertRefresh into a 4.1.0 config file? What about options such as "cybershadow" and "noaccel"? Alternatively, is there a choice of standard monitor that might work?(the chip is a trident cyber9382 apparently). The standard lcd 800x600 selection does not work.
