Did you ever succesfully run any other XFree86 installation with the Radeon board? If not, get used to it, Radeon based cards are likely to make trouble. There are so many chip versions of Radeon out there so that XFree-developers hardly can catch up fixing the module. If I didn't tell you anything new,... delete the mail ;)
