i removed all the xfree86 packages that came with
redhat 6.2 (using rpm -qa | grep -i xfree | rpm -e --nodeps). then i
downloaded all the binaries for glibc2.1 i ran the XInstall script,
followed all the directions. updated my ld.so.conf file, ran ldconfig as
root, then typed "XFree86 -configure". the screen turned black, like
looked like something was starting up, then boom, crash with a bunch of
unresolved symbols. can anyone help me out? what do i do? what
am i forgetting to do? i would send the log file, but its a new machine
and my floppy drive is giving me problems...=(
