I have a really weird situation. I have FreeBSD 4.4 stable and
XFree86 4.1 installed. My XF86Config file which is located in /etc/. I
realize that the handbook says it is typically /etc/X11/XF86Config or /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config. Mine ended up in just the
/etc/ directory. It still works or my KDE wouldn't come up. My Settings in
XF86Config are as follows:
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0" Device "Card0" Monitor "Monitor0" DefaultColorDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1024x768" EndSubSection EndSection Yet when I go into the KDE Control Center/Xserver it says my
settings are 800x600. How do I get my image resolution to 1024x768?
Thanks
Brendhan
