I just finished installing Redhat 7.2, but I can't configure X (This is my very first time using Liux/X). When I run 'xf86config' there is not an option for my exact card: 3D Rage LT Pro. When I run Xconfigurator it detects my exact card (ATI:3D Rage LT Pro AGP-133) along with everything else, but either way I'm not able to use X. (I'm trying to use it on a Compaq Presario 5050 Celeron 333mhz 8GB HD 96 MB RAM 3D Rage LT Pro video card with 2MB SGRAM)
ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! This is what I get every single time after I log-in and type "startx": (**) XKB: model: "pc105" (**) XKB: layout: "us" (**) FontPath set to "unix/:7100" (**) RgbPath set to "/usr/X11R6/lib/x11/rgb" (==) ModulePath set to "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules" Couldn't open RGB-DB '/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb' (WW) Warning, couldn't open module bitmap (EE) Failed to load module "bitmap" (module does not exist, 0) (WW) Warning, couldn't module pcidata (EE) Failed to load module "pcidata" (module does not exist, 0" Fatal server error: Unable to load required base module, Exiting XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0:0" after 0 requests (known processed) with 0 events remaining. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
