Yes, yes, I am in the industry now. I worked for a while for a small internet company before, and the boss tried to make everyone use outlook/windows/word to do everything. After the fthird attack of viruses hit us, and my computer was the only one that was working (we had to disconnect all the computers for a while), he changed his mind, and I came inches from getting my boss to wipe windows and install KDE, and he suddenly decided that installing any of our exposed servers with Windows. You need to be willing to risk stuff to get anywhere, I guess. It's the same everywhere. Yes, I have a family too. The point is, everyone knows microsoft sucks, everyone knows that their OS, their apps don't stand much of a chance. It's the guys who actually leave a little earlier than the rest that benefit the most, right? Are you willing to follow the rest of the lemmings of the cliff or are you going to do what *you* think is right? The jobs are out there, you just have to look a little harder. The demand exists, there are people who are willing to switch to Linux right now who can't because there aren't enough people who can help them do it.
