It's not doing much good to keep doing the same thing over and over, and posting the same message about it over and over. Can you tell us exactly what you mean by "all the drivers" and by "giving unresolved symbols"? And can you tell us what sort of system this is, and what, if any, versions of X11 were previously installed, and where? My guess is that it's some variant of Linux, and that even though the "make install" worked OK, at run time the dynamic loader can't find the object modules. This is XFree86 version 4.something, isn't it? It probably has something to do with ldconfig, or LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the environment, or something in that area. This is an obscure and twisty area in the best cases, and (from what I've seen in fora like slashdot) Linux, at least some variants, are not among the best cases. If you tell us exactly what version of Xfree86, exactly where you're installing it, exactly what system, and exactly how it fails, including verbatim text of the log messages, then maybe someone will recognize something and have a clue to offer. -- Remember, more computing power was thrown away last week than existed in the world in 1982. -- http://www.tom.womack.net/computing/prices.html _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
