Is ctrl+alt+backspace a choice or kill client a choice? Isn't there any "normal" way to terminal X? I remember when I was using Slackware 2.x, I can back to text mode by clicking "exit" anytime I want, but it doesn't work anymore now. :-( yup. I had a few years gap to use Linux. >> Every time I click "exit" in X, >click 'exit' where? is this with GNOME, KDE, FVWM? The X default one. XDM. If I click mouse in backdrop, it appears a pop menu. The "exit" is in bottom of the pop menu. >> the X hung, >what do you mean by 'hung'? After clicking "exit", window frames (three xterm window) freeze and mouse doesn't work, but I still can type in xterms. >> but I >> still can use Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to terminal X or use Ctrl+Alt+F? jumping to >> other terminal. >in that case, X wasn't hung. may just work inproperly. >> Do you have this kind of situation before? >maybe. need more details. :) Does my information help a little bit? _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
