Hi,

Machine: HP OmniBook 6100
Distro: RH 7.2

Had to install CVS release of XFree86 due to
lack of support in RH 7.2 release for the
ATI Mobility Radeon chipset.

Making the CVS source has X working now, however,
it creates a symbolic link problem with xkb,
i.e.,

/etc/X11/xkb points to
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb and visa versa.

I haven't deleted the files generated during
the make process. However after updating the
slocate database and looking for xkb I cannot
see it in the compiled sources. I figure it
probably gets renamed when moved during the
install.

So - suggestions? I figure if I can find
the copy of the file I just made, I should be
able to move it into /etc/X11/xkb and
all should be well.

Thanks!

Dave Hawkins.
