The 7500 isn't supported yet, so I used the frame buffer device following Suse's instructions. Nothing worked until I realized that the 7500 supports 32 bit color but not 24 bit color, while the frame buffer supports 24 bit color but not 32 bit color. Once I set the frame buffer to 16 bit color (at 1024 x 768) it worked as advertised. To do this I set the lilo.conf vga parameter to vga=791 and reran lilo. The rest of the setup went smoothly. Check your Red Hat docs for something similar. -- Malcolm mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
