I'am currently using an SiS6326 card with 8Mb mem and TV out. I want to obtain a reliable 50 HZ mode in 800x600 or in 640x480 to be able to use my TV output. Unfortuneatly the X server doesn't accept a dot clock below 16.25 Mhz in the modeline definition whereas the requirements for TV is about 14.76 Mhz! Is there a way to force or to set this minimum picxel clock value (the logs of Xfree said it's a default setting, so it must be possible to set it!! And it's not an impossibility for the card, since it's working under windows). Currently, with a modeline at 16.25 MHz i'm only able to see "garble" on to my TV (as well as on the screen of the computer)! It would be really nice since it's very cool to watch DVD's and all other stuff played by my computer on to my TV!! Sorry if it's not to you i must send my question! J.
