[Newbie]Xfree86 Setup

Hi all, I'm so new to this (Windows User). I'm trying to configure XFree86 on FreeBSD 4.4. The PC specs are: Pentium 166 with MMX 64 Mb memory 4.3 Gb Maxtor HDD S3 trio64+ screen card Hyundai DeluxScan s450 Screen.   Now I have tried about evry possible configuration option on the Configuration of XFree86 to make it work. Various screen settings, with various settings on the screencard (always sticking to S3 Trio64+ or S3 Trio64 Generic) but nothing seems to work. Once I got X Server to start, but half the display area was not even on the screen. I hav tried everything so far to recreate it but failed any ideas ?   Am I in the correct place to ask for help ? Please bare with me, learning as fast as I can. But it is quite a jump from M$ windows to something like Linux or Unix (incl variants).   PLEASE HELP ME !   Cheers.   Maartin.
