Not being too familar with solaris, can you use rpm??  I know this is a 
linux thing, but does it work in solaris as well??  If not then I have 
no idea, cause mouseconfig is an rpm package done by redhat.  Sorry. 
 There is anotherway to set it up however.  Just set up the device 
section in your config file.  I've attached mine as a reference.  That's 
about all I can tell you.  I wish I knew more.
