Yes, I am using the KDE desktop. I tried it from the shell, but not with
the &, and still could get it to do nothing. I gave up on Netscape for the
time being.

6 months? Wow!!. Is that not hard on the hardware?

I do not have much problem getting to the web page in UNIX, it is just in
trying to download something such as another browser or program for UNIX.
My network: I have 3 PC's running into a Linksys 4 port EtherFast Cable/DSL
router, which is tied into a Toshiba PCX1000 Cable Modem, Linksys 10/100
Ethernet card. The only PC running UNIX is my EMachine 600 with 256 MB Ram,
16 MB Voodo3 vid card, CS8621 Soundcard(which I need to find vesa drivers
for). I can browse the web using the kfm browser, but graphics are funky in
that they flash in and out of view, also text box's do the same. If I try
and d/l a .tgz file, it will try for a minute, and then come back and tell
me it cannot open the file. If I go to Windows on the same PC, it d/l fine.
