I don't know that much about 4.2 and about your chip but I believe part of the problem
to be the
way you define your screen in your server layout. In mine I have:
Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
(I call my first screen "Screen0")
I would also be modest on my first try and stay with DefaultDepth 16
Is your monitor old to have such modest synch values?
