Well, no, I guess not. I based that on http://www.xfree86.org/current/Status5.html#5 but your original post refered to http://www.xfree.org/4.0.3/RELNOTES3.html#3 which said pretty much the same thing about 4.0.2. > Assuming that it really WILL help, I notice here: > > http://www.xfree86.org/pipermail/xpert/2001-November/012731.html > > that Mike Harris this past November was working on getting 4.2.0 into an > RPM-able state. Is that done now? I couldn't find anything on RedHat's web > site about it.... I don't know anything about RPMs, but installing 4.2.0 from the XFree86 binaries should be pretty easy. It was trouble-free on FreeBSD, and RedHat should be as well tested as that. If it doesn't work for you, or if you're feeling too skeptical, get 3.3.6 http://www.xfree86.org/getting.html -- Remember, more computing power was thrown away last week than existed in the world in 1982. -- http://www.tom.womack.net/computing/prices.html _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
