I have a new machine with an ATI Radeon 7500 that I want to drive dual screens.

So I installed Mandrake 8.1, downloaded RPMs for XFree86 4.2 (which I think I
need for better radeon support) and did a lot of rpm -e and rpm -i commands
to get rid of older X and install the new.

I notice that this has left /usr/X11R6/bin/X as a symbolic link to XWrapper,
which strikes me as odd. Where should that link point?

Aron Hsiao's book on XFree86 for Linux is proving helpful, but it is based
on 3.something and I'm not certain if differences I'm noting are screw-ups
in my installation or legitimate 3 vs 4 differnces. He says the X link
should point to a server with name of the form XF_*, but I see none of
those in the directory.

Also, he suggests using a tool called XFree86Setup and I cannot find that
on my system.
