hi,
I am trying to run xfree86 on freebsd 4.5 , the hardware configuration is:
1) on board s3 savage4 card
2) dfi 75-tc motherboard
3) amd athlon 1.0 cpu
4) samtron 55v monitor with 60 hz refresh rate at 1024x768 and 72hz at 800x600
environment:
1) XFree86 4.2.0
2) FreeBSD 4.5
problem:
The XFree86 -configure command gives a XF86Config.new file which when used for
testing works fine( i see the grains and cross screen) but when i try to replace the
/etc/XF86Config with the new file and run startx then it crashes and gives some mode
not found error..
