Mark -
It seems that the driver that ships with xf86 4.2.0
will work for the rage series of chipsets, but not
properly. I found (after digging around A LOT) that
the r128 intended for r128 chipsets will run, but will
not display properly on my Rage Xpert 2k Pro TV AGP.
The screen comes up, you can see a background and
desktop (w/ enlightenment, it plays sounds too) but it
looks like the screen is all divided up and moved
around on the screen. I first thought it was monitor
resolutions, but after trying three different monitors
(all proven to work w/ linux on a different card) I
could find no successful monitor frequencies that
displayed xf86 any better than the last. My opinion is
it is the driver that is causing the screen not to
display. Now, if I only knew how to program.... (it
seems all ic an do is bitch)
