Hello,

I know I have this video card because of this log entry:
# ATI 3D Rage LT Pro graphics controller detected.

In the XFree86-4.0.2 log I see that there is a large number of ATI chipsets
supported. I find it *really* strange that the LT isn't supported! I went
through the FAQ to try to follow the steps to make DRI enabled but it just
doesn't work. The Utah-GLX project supported the LT several years ago. I
always hoped it would just be a few register differences between the
LE/MF/LF/etc... chipsets.

I notice that after the XFree86-4.0.2 log states I have an 'LT' that it is
(also?) an "LB" :

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) ATI Mach64 LB rev 220, Mem @ 0xfd000000/24, 0xfeaff000/12,
I/O
 @ 0xd800/8, BIOS @ 0xfeac0000/17
Also: Chip type 4C42 "LB"

Though I don't know if this will help.
I'd love to get Java3D working hardware accelerated on my Laptop. If anyone
knows how to do this I'd be grateful.

Thanks.
