Hello there, I am a Linux Newbie and am trying to get to grips with setting up a dual headed display on my REdHat 7.1 box running XFree86 4.0.3.
I have set up my machine with two cards, a voodoo3 agp and a sis 6352( I think). I have hacked about in the XF86Config file and set up the cards correctly, i.e. I got them to work individually. I then Set up a Layout refering to the HOWTO pages from the Linux documentation project. When i start the machine it boots up on the sis card and monitor until the Xserver is started and then the display is swithched to the Voodoo3 card. Do I need to start the Xserver from the prompt? I have tried doing that by typing : startx -- +xinerama Is this the correct thing to be typing? Should I be typing another command? Or do I have a probelm with my set up?
