Hi, I am truly a newbie here, so please forgive my ignorance. Don't even know if my terminology is correct.
I installed Redhat 7.2 on my Toshiba Tecra 8200 and all was fine until I went to configure X. Looking at the documentation on www.xfree86.org, I found that the CyberbladeXP is only supported in version 4.2 of XFree86. So I downloaded it and installed it. Now, I have 2 problems that I need help with. 1) When I run Xconfigurator, it bails out with a segmentation fault. It's probably not important to run it now, as I can run a graphical environment, but I don't like the error. 2) More importantly, when the display manager starts, it is a default manager (I'm guessing) that gives me an xterm window. From that xterm window, I can run startkde and it works, but I cannot get the display manager to start kde automatically. How do I get the display manager to start properly? Thanks much! -- -Mike Egner [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________________________ FREE voicemail, email, and fax...all in one place.
