Hello,

The exact error message in the log appears like this :

-----

(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/psaux
        Device or resource busy
(EE) Mouse0: cannot open input device
(EE) PreInit failed for Input Device "Mouse0"
(II) KeyBoard "KeyBoard0" handled by legacy driver
(WW) No core pointer registered
No core pointer

Fatal Server error:
Failed to initialize core devices

----------

This problem has originated from gpm.c, which gives an (oops)
and indicates "Device or resource busy", causing X to fail.

I have never observed this type of behaviour earlier and my
setup is fundamentally multihead. This problem does not occur
        in a single head environment.

- Kindly let me know ASAP, as this is a show-stopper.

- Thank you very much
