Hi, I have recently installed FreeBSD 4.5 on my computer, and when the package for XFree86 4.1.0 didn't want to work I deinstalled that and downloaded the 4.2.0 from the XFree86 site. This installed fine, but it still took a bit of doing to get it configured to work properly with my Hyundai monitor, ended up stealing some info from my working Linux install. There were a couple of options I needed.
I'm now thinking of getting a TFT flat panel, but hesitate because the thought of breaking X is not a fun one. The main thing I'm concerned with is one option under the monitor section. It's the DPMS option, and I'm wondering is if I would need that with a flat panel.
