Hmmm.  XF86_MGA is version 3 XFree86, not 4.2.0.  Looks like you still
have traces of a previous version.  Go to /usr/X11R6/bin and make sure X
is a symlink to XFree86, and not to XF86_anything_else.  Then try
"XFree86 -configure".  That should create an XF86Config file in the
current directory, which you can copy to /etc/X11/XF86Config.  That
should get you started.  Let us know if it doesn't.
