I have a new Toshiba Satellite that, after 3 tries, I was able to get
XFree4.2 and Gnome running on Redhat 7.2.
Redhat comes with an older version of XFree, but, you will need the
XFree86-4.2 loaded to use the CyberBladeAi1/XP driver.

So go to this link http://www.xfree.org/4.2.0/Install2.html#2 and download
the listed files from this link
 http://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/4.2.0/binaries/Linux-ix86-glibc22/.

I installed the new version over the old one with no problems. When the
install script asks to make symbolic links say YES and when it askes if you
want to overwrite any config files say NO.

When that is done, do not use the XFree86 -configure command because it
will
give you a Glide error. Use the xf86config program to setup your hardware.
On the monitor setting I used the SVGA that has 1024 x 768.

Then save the new config settings and you should be able to startx with no
 problems. GOOD LUCK!
