No, I can use XDarwin logged in as any normal user.
I am not sure abt what can cause the problem u r facing.
My only guess is that when logged in as non-root it is trying to access/change some file,
for which it does not have the requisite permissions.
Now which file is that ?? May be someone else from this list can tell u that..?
