Hi,
I am getting black vertical lines across the top
2/3rd of my display at the resolution of 1024x768 and I don't know how to
correct the problem.
The X -probeonly command generates the
following output:

Mode 0666 EndSection As indicated in the XF86Config file, I have tried using modelines generated
for the XFree86 Modeline Generator for resolution, refresh rate and horizontal
sync combinations supported by my monitor as indicated by the X -probeonly
output just in the vertical black bar problem I am having is related to a
synchronization mismatch between my graphics card and my monitor. I know that
the graphics card/monitor combination works properly under Windows 98.
Does anyone know the nature of my problem and how to go about solving
it?
