Hi Ronyn,

Thanks for the hint about drakconf. I was using only xf86config and getting
nowhere. I have one very stupid question. I know this is somewhere in the
documentation, but I can't find it. How to I kill X and return to the
command line without X running at all? I thought that was CTRL-ALT-BS, but
that kills the current session and restarts X, it does not leave me at the
command line without X running.

Hi Vic

You're on the right track about changing the symlink to point to XFree86
when you get your new card. The configuration program is drakconf and
you use it from the command line outside of 'X'. If that's a problem
email the list again.

Oh yes you need to run drakconf as root.
