I've a script that calls several X programs to display jpegs and mpegs. I'd like to develop a method of splitting the screen into 4 equal quadrants and display ing a jpeg in three and play a mpeg in the fourth. As much as possible I'd want this to appear seemless with no window borders. Can this be done with things like xv, xloadimage, and mplayer? I'm a good unix guy with about 7 years of perl/web coding. But almost no X experience. Advice is greatly appreciated.
