[Newbie]Help With SunOS 4.1.4 and Xfree86 4.2 BUILD

Hello,   I have Gcc 2.7 on a Sparc2 with SunOS 4.1.4.  I cant get Xfree86 ver.4.2 to compile.  It complains that "Fatal error in reader:Makefile line 953: Unexpected end of line seen.  This happens during the make World section in the programs/xterm dir.  Any help would be great!!!   Thanx, Toby
