[Newbie]In requards to responded permanent PATH setting solutions

and..

1) "Jacky, Lau"  solution: export PATH=$PATH:/path/to
this is fine for making it global and accessible to other shells, but not permanent

2) Fredrik solution - setting PATH in bashrc works just fine
