[Newbie]Help

Ive got problems, Ive got a S3 ViRGE PCI (325) onboard video card and i cant get any sort of configurations for Xfree86 to work, its on a old packard Bell Legend 20, i cant get any specs for it and i also dont know how to access the log file, im running a samtron 55E monitor, plz any help will be greatly appreciated
