Sorry,
Left out an important point from "Geode" instructions.

d) If I have understood correctly, the video support requires XF86_FBDev, a
general "Frame Buffer" driver also for VESA. Not the most efficient one.

Hi,

Not sure to whom this mail was addressed. Me, though, have had a look at the
link referenced. I have never before heard about "Geode-based Single-Board
Computers". Now, that sounds just like a uP board and not a fullfledged OS
set up. The text body (too big for me to want to digest), however, indicates that
it should work as a Linux distribution by:

a) Oriented to RedHat Linux 7.2 (thats where the rpm lacks for other distributions).

b) Set up LILO config by at least 'append="video=vesa"'

c) A lot of XF86Config examples to cope with this "Geode". Is it
a distribution ? The text body indicates so, why should we else set up LILO and
    XF86Config.

Hans.
