I use GPSBabel to convert from the nmea files on the memory card to a GPX file.
If you use the PC software that comes with the BGT-11 then, I think this will produce GPX formatted files. There is also a perl script: http://www.splitbrain.org/projects/navilink that will allow you to read directly from the bgt-11 on MAC's and linux. If you're still having trouble, then send me the files and I'll see what I can do with them.
