Thanks David Unfortunately Honolulu still appears underwater. Either the change you made hasn't been applied yet, or something else is amiss. Note: The streets over ocean appears when looking at the main openstreetmap.org site, as well as after clicking the Export tab.

The only error I could find in the data, and I don't know why it didn't show up on the coastline error checker, was a small offshore island which had been drawn in the wrong direction, which I have now fixed. I suggest waiting till some time after Wednesday morning (UTC) and see if the Mapnik layer looks OK then.
