I am just getting started, and finding the learning curve to be VERY steep.
I have successfully uploaded my Garmin GPS data to OSM in GPX format.
I have also successfully clicked on the "Edit" link in the "Your GPS Traces"
page, and the "Track" button on the opening Potlatch page that subsequently
appears. This displays my GPS tracks.
I then used the edit functions of Potlatch to trace the GPS tracks, and enter
the corresponding tags. All appears as expected to this point. I did this for
three different tracks, and have many, many more to do, but wanted to see the
results before I put in any more effort.
I did all of this eleven days ago, and have waited until after a thursday had
passed before writing to make sure that enough time had passed to ensure the
data had a chance to be loaded.
Unfortunately, when I go into OSM none of the data I entered appears.
The area where I am working is San Blas, Nayarit, MEXICO--lat=21.5312
lon=-105.2848
I am frustrated to the point of giving this up. Does anybody have any
troubleshooting advice?
