Hello all,
I try to download a map for a track in GPX-format I recorded ( with I-Trails and/or GPX on I-Phone ). I find it pretty complicated to be honest. New in mapping, but not completely computer-illiterate (as a user, not a developer/programmer) even the simplest things do not work. Following the manual (don’t aks me which one) I use the prescribed / available software. E.g. Merkaartor I open the track and see it on the dotted surface. Than I want to see / download the map I use the option [X] Current View and then hope that the map underlying the track will appear. It returns the message: Unexpected htp status code ( 403) Server message is ‘Forbidden’ Is this an account/permission issue? I thought I had everything for OSM and Wiki. But maybe it’s not in the right place in the programme. Anyone can help ? Ernst PS I see and hear dat JOSM is the preferred mapping-application and have it installed –with the enlarged memory-option, but –as it says in the manual- it’s more complicated and the output (map) is OVERWHELMING, so for a start I prefer something simpler.
